Description

This is a hydronic fan coil valve body, not a gas valve. The Honeywell VU53S2000 is a two-way, normally closed fan coil valve for controlling the flow of hot or chilled water in commercial HVAC equipment such as fan coil units, terminal reheat coils and convectors. It is supplied with sweat end connections for copper piping.

VU52 and VU53 valves provide two-way, straight-through control of water. The VU53 is the normally closed configuration - the valve closes on loss of power, so flow stops by default. A patented ball plug gives long service life and soft close-off, a triple stem O-ring seal provides three lines of defence against corrosion and leakage around the drive shaft, and a quick-opening flow curve gives rapid response.

Actuator pairing: use a VU443 or VU843 actuator with this VU53 normally closed body. Honeywell notes that close-off pressure ratings are reduced if a VU444 or VU844 actuator is fitted to a VU53 body.

Compact construction fits under the cover of most baseboard convectors with the actuator fitted to the valve body.

Important: these valves are not for use in systems containing dissolved oxygen. When soldering, orient the valve stem slot as directed in the installation instructions to lift the ball off the seat and prevent seat damage. Do not exceed the 500°F maximum soldering temperature.

EXCLUSIONS. This warranty does not cover (a) any failures which are not attributable to defects in materials or workmanship, including without limitation, failures caused by accidents, inadequate maintenance, misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, improper storage, and normal wear and tear, (b) any consumable parts or accessories, such as cutter blades, nut splitter chisels, punches, dies, chains, wedges, and strands, that are designed to wear over time or through use of the Product, or (c) electronics, motors, batteries, and engines, as these items are warranted by their manufacturer.

WARRANTY RETURNS. No Products shall be returned without prior authorization from B2E Surplus. Buyer shall prepay all shipping charges for the return of Products to B2E Surplus’ designated service location.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL B2E SURPLUS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SPECIAL DAMAGES, INDIRECT DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUES, OR LOSS OF USE, EVEN IF INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. B2E SURPLUS' LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY ORDER IS LIMITED TO THE ORDER PRICE FOR THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT THAT GIVES RISE TO THE CLAIM. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THESE LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS SHALL APPLY REGARDLESS OF WHETHER LIABILITY ARISES FROM BREACH OF CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO NEGLIGENCE), BY OPERATION OR LAW, OR OTHERWISE.
