Description
The Johnson Controls P72CG-1C is a PENN P72 Series pressure control with a Double-Pole, Single-Throw (DPST) switch. Per the manufacturer, the P70, P72 and P170 controls for high pressure applications "are designed primarily for high pressure cut-out control, head-pressure control, and condenser fan cycling control on commercial refrigeration and air conditioning applications. Controls are available in several pressure ranges and are compatible with most common refrigerants. You can also use the controls on other non-corrosive fluid applications."
What sets the P72 apart from the single-pole P70 is the switch: the P72 models have a double-pole, single-throw switch with load-carrying contacts that provide direct control of 120 V to 600 V single-phase motors and 208 V to 240 V three-phase motors, so a compressor or condenser fan motor can be switched without an interposing relay or starter. A pressure-actuated bellows is connected to a pressure tap on the controlled system by a capillary or field-installed hose; the bellows responds to system pressure changes and operates a snap-action electrical switch.

EXCLUSIONS. This warranty does not cover (a) any failures which are not attributable to defects in materials or workmanship, including without limitation, failures caused by accidents, inadequate maintenance, misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, improper storage, and normal wear and tear, (b) any consumable parts or accessories, such as cutter blades, nut splitter chisels, punches, dies, chains, wedges, and strands, that are designed to wear over time or through use of the Product, or (c) electronics, motors, batteries, and engines, as these items are warranted by their manufacturer.
WARRANTY RETURNS. No Products shall be returned without prior authorization from B2E Surplus. Buyer shall prepay all shipping charges for the return of Products to B2E Surplus’ designated service location.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL B2E SURPLUS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SPECIAL DAMAGES, INDIRECT DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUES, OR LOSS OF USE, EVEN IF INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
