Description

The Johnson Controls P70CA-4 is a PENN P70 Series pressure control with an SPST open-high, automatic-reset switch and a 20 in. Hg to 100 psig range. Per the manufacturer, the P70, P72 and P170 controls for low pressure applications "are designed primarily for low-pressure cut out control, pump-down control, and capacity control on commercial refrigeration and air conditioning applications. These controls are available in several pressure ranges and are compatible with most common refrigerants."

P70C models use an SPST open-high PENN® switch with automatic reset: the contacts close line to M1 as pressure falls to the cut-in setpoint and open line to M1 as pressure rises to the cut-out setpoint. A pressure-actuated bellows connected to a pressure tap on the controlled system by capillary or field-installed hose responds to system pressure changes and operates the snap-action electrical switch. The all-steel case and cover give long lasting, rugged protection for internal components, and sight-set calibrated pressure adjustment displays a visible pressure scale that is fully adjustable through the range without removing the cover on Type 1 (NEMA) enclosure models. In the P70 model code the first letter identifies the switch action (C = SPST switch, open-high, automatic reset) and the second letter the enclosure (A = Type 1 NEMA enclosure, no adjustment knob).

P70 open-high models are typically used for capacity control on commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, and the controls may also be used on other non-corrosive fluid applications. Use this control only as an operating control - where failure or malfunction could lead to personal injury or property damage, incorporate additional supervisory, alarm, safety or limit devices into the control system. In the event that B2E Surplus determines that a Product contains a defect in materials or workmanship, then B2E Surplus, in its sole discretion, will (a) repair the Product, (b) replace the Product, or (c) refund the purchase price of the Product. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. EXCLUSIONS. This warranty does not cover (a) any failures which are not attributable to defects in materials or workmanship, including without limitation, failures caused by accidents, inadequate maintenance, misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, improper storage, and normal wear and tear, (b) any consumable parts or accessories, such as cutter blades, nut splitter chisels, punches, dies, chains, wedges, and strands, that are designed to wear over time or through use of the Product, or (c) electronics, motors, batteries, and engines, as these items are warranted by their manufacturer.

WARRANTY RETURNS. No Products shall be returned without prior authorization from B2E Surplus. Buyer shall prepay all shipping charges for the return of Products to B2E Surplus’ designated service location.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL B2E SURPLUS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SPECIAL DAMAGES, INDIRECT DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUES, OR LOSS OF USE, EVEN IF INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
