Description

The Johnson Controls P70CA-3E is a PENN P70 Series pressure control with an SPST open-high, automatic-reset switch and a 50 to 500 psig range. Per the manufacturer, the P70, P72 and P170 controls for high pressure applications "are designed primarily for high pressure cut-out control, head-pressure control, and condenser fan cycling control on commercial refrigeration and air conditioning applications. Controls are available in several pressure ranges and are compatible with most common refrigerants. You can also use the controls on other non-corrosive fluid applications. Ammonia compatible models are also available."

P70C models use an SPST open-high PENN® switch with automatic reset: the contacts close line to M1 as pressure falls to the cut-in setpoint and open line to M1 as pressure rises to the cut-out setpoint. A pressure-actuated bellows connected to a pressure tap on the controlled system by capillary or field-installed hose responds to system pressure changes and operates the snap-action electrical switch. The all-steel case and cover give long lasting, rugged protection for internal components, and sight-set calibrated pressure adjustment displays a visible pressure scale that is fully adjustable through the range without removing the cover on Type 1 (NEMA) enclosure models. In the P70 model code the first letter identifies the switch action (C = SPST switch, open-high, automatic reset) and the second letter the enclosure (A = Type 1 NEMA enclosure, no adjustment knob).

Except for models listed as Refrigeration Pressure Cut Out controls, use this control only as an operating control - where failure or malfunction could lead to personal injury or property damage, incorporate additional supervisory, alarm, safety or limit devices into the control system. All Products which are repaired or replaced shall be warranted only for the unexpired portion of the original warranty period.

EXCLUSIONS. This warranty does not cover (a) any failures which are not attributable to defects in materials or workmanship, including without limitation, failures caused by accidents, inadequate maintenance, misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, improper storage, and normal wear and tear, (b) any consumable parts or accessories, such as cutter blades, nut splitter chisels, punches, dies, chains, wedges, and strands, that are designed to wear over time or through use of the Product, or (c) electronics, motors, batteries, and engines, as these items are warranted by their manufacturer.

WARRANTY RETURNS. No Products shall be returned without prior authorization from B2E Surplus. Buyer shall prepay all shipping charges for the return of Products to B2E Surplus’ designated service location.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.
