Description

The Johnson Controls P70AB-2CM is a PENN P70 Series pressure control for low pressure applications with a 20 in. Hg to 100 psig (-68 to 690 kPa) setpoint range. Per the manufacturer, the P70, P72, and P170 controls for low pressure applications "are designed primarily for low-pressure cut out control, pump-down control, and capacity control on commercial refrigeration and air conditioning applications. These controls are available in several pressure ranges and are compatible with most common refrigerants. You can also use the controls on other non-corrosive fluid applications."

A pressure-actuated bellows on the control is connected to a pressure tap on the controlled system by a capillary or a field-installed hose; the bellows responds to system pressure changes and operates a snap-action electrical switch. The all-steel case and cover are built to provide long lasting, rugged protection for internal components, and the sight-set calibrated pressure adjustment displays a visible pressure scale that is fully adjustable through the range without removing the cover. In the P70 model code the first letter after P70 identifies the switch action and the second letter identifies the enclosure and adjustment style.

Typical applications include low-pressure cut out, pump-down and capacity control on commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, and other non-corrosive fluid service. Except for models listed as refrigeration pressure cut out controls, use this control only as an operating control - where failure or malfunction could lead to personal injury or property damage, incorporate additional supervisory, alarm, safety or limit devices into the control system. Mount the control upright and level, use copper conductors only, and avoid sharp bends in the capillary tubing. Do not make field repairs.

EXCLUSIONS. This warranty does not cover (a) any failures which are not attributable to defects in materials or workmanship, including without limitation, failures caused by accidents, inadequate maintenance, misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, improper storage, and normal wear and tear, (b) any consumable parts or accessories, such as cutter blades, nut splitter chisels, punches, dies, chains, wedges, and strands, that are designed to wear over time or through use of the Product, or (c) electronics, motors, batteries, and engines, as these items are warranted by their manufacturer.

WARRANTY RETURNS. No Products shall be returned without prior authorization from B2E Surplus. Buyer shall prepay all shipping charges for the return of Products to B2E Surplus’ designated service location.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.
