. . . . . The Johnson Controls M4-SNC25151-04 is a Metasys SNC Series supervisory network engine with 40 integrated I/O points - a BACnet/IP network engine that also carries its own field points. This unit is reconditioned.

What an SNC is, and why it matters. Most network engines supervise a network of separate field controllers but have no points of their own. The SNC combines both roles: enterprise-level IP network connectivity and direct control at the equipment. Johnson Controls positions it for central plant and large air handling applications.

Integrated I/O - 40 points, 25 in and 15 out:

* 14 universal inputs (UI) - 0 to 10 V DC voltage, 4 to 20 mA current, 0 to 2k Ohm resistance, RTD (1k nickel, 1k platinum or A99B SI), NTC (10k type L or 2.225k type II), or dry contact binary
* 11 binary inputs (BI) - dry contact maintained, or pulse counter mode to 100 Hz
* 4 configurable outputs (CO) - 0 to 10 V DC analogue, or 24 V AC triac binary
* 4 analogue outputs (AO) - 0 to 10 V DC voltage or 4 to 20 mA current
* 7 binary outputs (BO) - 24 V AC triac

Universal input resolution is a 24-bit analogue-to-digital converter; analogue output accuracy is ±200 mV over 0 to 10 V DC. The binary and configurable triac outputs require an external 24 V AC source.

Expandable well beyond its own points. The SNC supports SA bus expansion - multiple Input/Output Modules (IOMs) and NS Series network sensors connect to the SA bus, substantially increasing the control capability of a single engine. SA bus power is 15 V at 240 mA maximum. The engine also supervises up to 4 devices per FC bus trunk.

Connectivity: one Ethernet port (1000/100/10 Mbps, RJ-45), one FC bus port (RJ-12), one SA bus port (RJ-12), one RS-485 port and two USB ports for external integration adapters. Integrations: BACnet MS/TP, BACnet/IP, N2 bus and Modbus (RTU over RS-485, TCP/IP over Ethernet). Connected server types: ADS/ADX and ADS Lite-E.

Platform and maintenance. Wind River Linux LTS on an NXP i.MX6 DualLite processor, 2 GB SDRAM, 16 GB flash, Metasys Site Management Portal user interface. Maximum consumption 33 VA. Data backup on supply loss uses a supercapacitor rather than a battery, so there is no battery to replace. FIPS 140-2 Level 1 compliant and certified; BACnet Testing Laboratories listed under BTL 135-2016 as B-BC, B-RTR and B-BBMD.

Installation note: Johnson Controls specifies at least 45 mm clearance above, below and to each side for maintenance and heat dissipation, and that panel temperature should not exceed 35°C.

EXCLUSIVE REMEDY. In the event that B2E Surplus determines that a Product contains a defect in materials or workmanship, then B2E Surplus, in its sole discretion, will (a) repair the Product, (b) replace the Product, or (c) refund the purchase price of the Product. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL B2E SURPLUS’ LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE WARRANTY CLAIM. All Products which are repaired or replaced shall be warranted only for the unexpired portion of the original warranty period.

EXCLUSIONS. This warranty does not cover (a) any failures which are not attributable to defects in materials or workmanship, including without limitation, failures caused by accidents, inadequate maintenance, misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, improper storage, and normal wear and tear, (b) any consumable parts or accessories, such as cutter blades, nut splitter chisels, punches, dies, chains, wedges, and strands, that are designed to wear over time or through use of the Product, or (c) electronics, motors, batteries, and engines, as these items are warranted by their manufacturer.

WARRANTY RETURNS. No Products shall be returned without prior authorization from B2E Surplus. Buyer shall prepay all shipping charges for the return of Products to B2E Surplus’ designated service location.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL B2E SURPLUS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SPECIAL DAMAGES, INDIRECT DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUES, OR LOSS OF USE, EVEN IF INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. B2E SURPLUS' LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY ORDER IS LIMITED TO THE ORDER PRICE FOR THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT THAT GIVES RISE TO THE CLAIM.
