The Johnson Controls M130JGA-1 is an M100 Series motor actuator - a 50 in·lb spring return electric actuator for damper and valve control on a 24 VAC supply, from the M100J variant of the range.

Please confirm the control input with us before ordering. Johnson Controls publishes a separate M100J technical bulletin and installation sheet, so the J series is genuine - but the tables we can access give the M100J's input voltage and accessory options without stating what control input the J code itself provides. We have therefore not attributed a control type to this unit. On an actuator the control input is the specification that matters most, so please tell us what signal you need to drive and we will confirm from the unit and its wiring label.
Fail-safe at 50 in·lb. Johnson Controls states that the return-to-normal function is standard on the M110 and M130 spring return models, so on loss of power the actuator drives back to its normal position. Above 25 in·lb the M130 is the only fail-safe option in the M100 range - the M120, M140 and M150 are all non-spring return. So whatever the J control input turns out to be, the mechanical half of this actuator is the fail-safe 50 in·lb unit, which is the version most commonly specified for outside air dampers and heating coil valves.
Valve duty. Johnson Controls' linkage kits give the M130 a seating force of 75 lb (334 N) or 100 lb (449 N) on 1-1/4 in. (DN 32) valves depending on the kit, with mounting kits available for 1/2 through 2 in. (DN15 through DN50) valves.

EXCLUSIONS. This warranty does not cover (a) any failures which are not attributable to defects in materials or workmanship, including without limitation, failures caused by accidents, inadequate maintenance, misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, improper storage, and normal wear and tear, (b) any consumable parts or accessories, such as cutter blades, nut splitter chisels, punches, dies, chains, wedges, and strands, that are designed to wear over time or through use of the Product, or (c) electronics, motors, batteries, and engines, as these items are warranted by their manufacturer.
WARRANTY RETURNS. No Products shall be returned without prior authorization from B2E Surplus. Buyer shall prepay all shipping charges for the return of Products to B2E Surplus’ designated service location.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL B2E SURPLUS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SPECIAL DAMAGES, INDIRECT DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUES, OR LOSS OF USE, EVEN IF INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. B2E SURPLUS' LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY ORDER IS LIMITED TO THE ORDER PRICE FOR THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT THAT GIVES RISE TO THE CLAIM. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THESE LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS SHALL APPLY REGARDLESS OF WHETHER LIABILITY ARISES FROM BREACH OF CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO NEGLIGENCE), BY OPERATION OR LAW, OR OTHERWISE.
