. . . . . The Johnson Controls A19ABC-76C is an A19 Series wide-range, adjustable-differential remote bulb control with SPDT contacts, a range of -30 to 100°F, an adjustable differential of 3 to 12, a 3/8 in. x 4 in. bulb and a 20 ft. capillary, in a NEMA 1 enclosure.

This is the long-capillary member of the most common A19ABC configuration. The A19ABC-24C covers the identical -30 to 100°F range and 3-12 differential with the same 3/8 in. x 4 in. bulb on 8 ft.; the -37C on 10 ft.; this model on 20 ft. The choice between them is purely how far the head must sit from the sensed point - and 20 ft. is enough to put the control outside a cold room entirely, on a corridor wall or in a plant room where it can be read and adjusted without entering the space.

SPDT contacts give changeover: a rise above setpoint opens red-to-blue (R-B) while closing red-to-yellow (R-Y), so one control can stop refrigeration and start an alarm, fan or defrost circuit. The 3 to 12 adjustable differential is set in the field via an internal scale plate marked in increments, shipped at the minimum setting stamped on the control - widen it to prevent compressor short-cycling, tighten it for closer control.

Sensing is by a liquid-filled element whose repeat accuracy is unaffected by barometric pressure or cross-ambient conditions - particularly important across a 20 ft. run, where the capillary itself passes through zones at very different temperatures from the bulb. Switching is by a Precision Pennswitch unit with snap-acting, dust-tight contacts. Wide-range ratings apply: 16.0 FLA / 96.0 LRA at 120 V, 9.2 / 55.2 at 208 V, 8.0 / 48.0 at 240 V, 22 A non-inductive at 120 to 277 VAC (SPDT normally-closed contact 16 A), 125 VA pilot duty at 24 to 600 VAC - enough to switch a compressor directly.

Route and support the full 20 ft. of capillary without kinks or tight bends - a damaged capillary disables the control, since the liquid fill is what drives the switch. Note that the A19ABC-36C is also a 20 ft. EXCLUSIONS. This warranty does not cover (a) any failures which are not attributable to defects in materials or workmanship, including without limitation, failures caused by accidents, inadequate maintenance, misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, improper storage, and normal wear and tear, (b) any consumable parts or accessories, such as cutter blades, nut splitter chisels, punches, dies, chains, wedges, and strands, that are designed to wear over time or through use of the Product, or (c) electronics, motors, batteries, and engines, as these items are warranted by their manufacturer.

WARRANTY RETURNS. No Products shall be returned without prior authorization from B2E Surplus. Buyer shall prepay all shipping charges for the return of Products to B2E Surplus’ designated service location.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL B2E SURPLUS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SPECIAL DAMAGES, INDIRECT DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUES, OR LOSS OF USE, EVEN IF INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. B2E SURPLUS' LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY ORDER IS LIMITED TO THE ORDER PRICE FOR THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT THAT GIVES RISE TO THE CLAIM. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THESE LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS SHALL APPLY REGARDLESS OF WHETHER LIABILITY ARISES FROM BREACH OF CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO NEGLIGENCE), BY OPERATION OR LAW, OR OTHERWISE.
