Description

The Johnson Controls A19AAC-4C is an A19 Series single-stage temperature control with SPDT contacts, a range of 0 to 80°F (-18 to 27°C) and a fixed, case-compensated differential of 5 F° (2.8 C°). Case compensation is the notable feature: the mechanism corrects for the temperature of the control's own enclosure, so the setpoint holds even when the body sits somewhere warmer or colder than the space or fluid being measured - the classic problem with a capillary control mounted outside a cold room while sensing inside it.

Sensing is by a liquid-filled 3/8 in. x 4 in. bulb on a 6 ft. capillary, with WEL14A-602R as the matching bulb well for immersion service (ordered separately). Range is set through a screwdriver-slot adjuster, and the maximum bulb temperature is 140°F (60°C) - a figure the element tolerates at infrequent intervals, not on repeat cycles.

On the SPDT arrangement, a rise above setpoint opens the red-to-blue (R-B) circuit and simultaneously closes red-to-yellow (R-Y), so one control can stop one device and start another. Electrical ratings for the case-compensated fixed-differential group are 16.0 FLA / 96.0 LRA at 120 V, 9.2 / 55.2 at 208 V and 8.0 / 48.0 at 240 V, with 22 A non-inductive at 120 to 277 VAC (the SPDT normally-closed contact is rated 16 A) and 125 VA pilot duty at 24 to 600 VAC. The A19 provides a constant differential throughout the entire range and is unaffected by cross-ambient conditions.

This warranty does not cover (a) any failures which are not attributable to defects in materials or workmanship, including without limitation, failures caused by accidents, inadequate maintenance, misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, improper storage, and normal wear and tear, (b) any consumable parts or accessories, such as cutter blades, nut splitter chisels, punches, dies, chains, wedges, and strands, that are designed to wear over time or through use of the Product, or (c) electronics, motors, batteries, and engines, as these items are warranted by their manufacturer.

WARRANTY RETURNS. No Products shall be returned without prior authorization from B2E Surplus. Buyer shall prepay all shipping charges for the return of Products to B2E Surplus’ designated service location.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL B2E SURPLUS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SPECIAL DAMAGES, INDIRECT DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUES, OR LOSS OF USE, EVEN IF INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
