Description
The Johnson Controls A19AAC-1 is an A19 Series dual fuel changeover control - an SPDT temperature control with a range of -30 to 50°F (-34 to 10°C) and a fixed differential of 5 F° (2.8 C°). Its purpose is to switch a dual-fuel (hybrid) system between heat sources based on outdoor temperature: above the setpoint the heat pump runs, and below it the control transfers the call to the fossil-fuel furnace, where operating cost and capacity are more favourable.
Because it senses outdoor air, the model is supplied with an outdoor shield to protect the bulb from solar gain and precipitation. The element is a Style 1 bulb, 3/8 in. x 4-1/16 in. on a 6 ft. capillary with a 3 in. bulb support, and the maximum bulb temperature is 140°F (60°C). The liquid-filled element gives repeat accuracy that is unaffected by barometric pressure or cross-ambient conditions - important for an outdoor sensor whose enclosure sees the same swings as the air it measures.
On the SPDT contact arrangement, a temperature rise above setpoint opens the red-to-blue (R-B) circuit and simultaneously closes red-to-yellow (R-Y), giving the two mutually exclusive outputs a changeover scheme needs. A19AAC types are rated 16.0 FLA / 96.0 LRA at 120 V, 9.2 / 55.2 at 208 V, 8.0 / 48.0 at 240 V, with 22 A non-inductive at 120-277 VAC (SPST and the N.O. contact of SPDT; the SPDT N.C. contact is rated 16 A at 120-277 VAC) and 125 VA pilot duty at 24-600 VAC.

Mount the bulb on a north-facing wall away from exhaust flues, dryer vents and direct sun so the reading reflects true outdoor air. EXCLUSIONS. This warranty does not cover (a) any failures which are not attributable to defects in materials or workmanship, including without limitation, failures caused by accidents, inadequate maintenance, misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, improper storage, and normal wear and tear, (b) any consumable parts or accessories, such as cutter blades, nut splitter chisels, punches, dies, chains, wedges, and strands, that are designed to wear over time or through use of the Product, or (c) electronics, motors, batteries, and engines, as these items are warranted by their manufacturer.
WARRANTY RETURNS. No Products shall be returned without prior authorization from B2E Surplus. Buyer shall prepay all shipping charges for the return of Products to B2E Surplus’ designated service location.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. IN NO EVENT SHALL B2E SURPLUS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SPECIAL DAMAGES, INDIRECT DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF REVENUES, OR LOSS OF USE, EVEN IF INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. B2E SURPLUS' LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO ANY ORDER IS LIMITED TO THE ORDER PRICE FOR THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT THAT GIVES RISE TO THE CLAIM. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THESE LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS SHALL APPLY REGARDLESS OF WHETHER LIABILITY ARISES FROM BREACH OF CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO NEGLIGENCE), BY OPERATION OR LAW, OR OTHERWISE.
